    In the face of the omicron surge sapping some Utah schools’ ability to staff classrooms and provide support services, Utah Gov. Spencer Cox, legislative leaders and the state superintendent have issued a letter that gives schools flexibility for the next two weeks on in-person attendance. Growing numbers of Utah schools have reached “test to stay,” thresholds where they must conduct schoolwide testing per state code, allowing those who test negative to remain in in-person learning and send home students who have positive results for quarantine or until they can produce a negative COVID-19 test.     QUINCY — The Quincy Exchange Club hosted Quincy and Mendon students who are deaf and hard of hearing at its meeting Friday for an annual holiday tradition considered a club favorite. After opening remarks from Exchange Club president Erik Dolieslager, Art Awerkamp introduced Kate Sanders from the Quincy Public Schools. Sanders has taken over the stewardship for the deaf and hard of hearing program for QPS.     Schools across Oakland, Wayne counties close after online threats made

    Schools across the Hometown Life communities are closed Thursday, Dec. 2, due to online threats. Additionally, Huron Valley and Novi officials announced both these districts will also be closed Friday, Dec. 3. Farmington Public Schools and South Lyon Community Schools announced all buildings are closed through Monday, Dec. 6.     Geneva Area City Schools teachers to strike over district’s online learning curriculum

    GENEVA, Ohio (WOIO) – Geneva Area City School teachers will be on strike starting at 12:01 a.m. Wednesday. The Geneva Area Teachers Association put out a statement stating they will be on strike because they don’t want to continue teaching in-person and online classes at the same time. “I support them 100%, I support them but I hope it’s short-lived,” said Brittany Breedlove.     All schools in South Park School District going to online learning after Snapchat threat

    All schools in the South Park School District will move to online classes Wednesday after Snapchat posts threatened gun violence at South Park Middle School.
