    Texas Education Agency releases new quarantine guidance for school staff

    AUSTIN (KXAN) — The Texas Education Agency on Friday released new quarantine guidance for school staff who have COVID-19 or have been in close contact with someone who does. TEA officials said school employees may return when: If symptomatic, at least five days have passed since symptom onset and fever free, and other symptoms have improved. For those with no symptoms, at least five days after the day they tested positive. “Fever free” means without a fever of 100 degrees or higher for at least 24 hours without the help of medication.     KM School District to offer a new 6-12 online school next fall

    Kettle Moraine School District plans on adding a public virtual charter school, called KM Connect, as another education option for the district beginning in fall 2022.  In its first year, this tuition-free program is slated to be available for students in sixth to 11th grades. The year after, it will be offered to 12th graders, too. Families will be able to sign up soon, and students outside the school district can enroll in KM Connect due to the state’s open enrollment guidelines.     She started with competitive dance and as the years went on she started to get more into musical theater.     Waukesha high school evacuated after online threats

    WAUKESHA, Wis. (WMTV) – A Waukesha high school was forced to evacuate Friday after the principal received an email threat directed toward students. The nature of the threat was not revealed, only that it would happen over the lunch period. After getting the threat, Waukesha West High School initially activated its “hold” safety protocols, during which students and staff stay in their classrooms, and contacted the Waukesha Police Department, Fox6News reports.     Police said they received a tip around 9:30 p.m. Thursday, and school and law enforcement officials decided to close the school as a precaution. HAMDEN, Conn. — A social media post that surfaced Thursday night that seemed to target Hamden High School forced officials to cancel classes and keep students home on Friday.     A school district in Ocean County is closed Friday due to social media comments about a possible threat, the superintendent and police said.
