    Alongside a wonderful team, we direct the University of Utah Prison Education project. We provide on-site coursework and programming to incarcerated adults at the Utah State Prison in Draper and work closely with faculty and student volunteers from a diverse range of institutions in our state, including Brigham Young University, Salt Lake Community College, Snow College, Southern Utah University, Utah State University, Utah Valley University, Weber State University, and Westminster College. We are an all-volunteer initiative, and we are currently unable to meet demand. In fact, the unmet need in our state is tremendous.     SCOTTVILLE — Gateway to Success Academy will launch its first-ever online school store from its website, with student-made products as well as apparel and other gear featuring the school’s logo and mascot.     Crosslake Community School’s director resigns; director of online learning no longer employed there

    Crosslake Community School’s executive director resigned Friday, March 12, and the school’s director of online learning also is no longer with the charter school. Cliff Skagen, executive director since January 2020, said Tuesday, March 16, in an emailed statement: “After lengthy consideration, I decided to resign from Crosslake Community School on March 12 to pursue other professional opportunities. I am proud of my accomplishments at CCS, which include increasing enrollment by 34 percent and bringing in approximately $1 million in new revenue.     UNO students share global learning experiences at Yeungnam University | Barbara Weitz Community Engagement Center

    As of the 2020-2021 academic year, 41 UNO students have taken part in global learning experiences at Yeungman University (YU) in South Korea. Located in Gyeongsan, the university is also a metropolitan institution neighboring Daegu. Like UNO, YU and Daegu understand the value of community and university partnerships. YU offers a large number of courses in English, beginning Korean language classes, a thriving international student population, and is one of the most affordable exchange programs. The is just one example of more than 40 global learning projects entered in UNO’s Community Engagement Partnership Initiative (CEPI).
