Shreveport Little Theatre Academy’s box office is now open for the production of “The Musical Adventure of Flat Stanley JR.”
The virtual show dates are 6 p.m. Dec. 11 and 12 and 2 p.m. Dec. 13. Tickets are $15 per household.
Based on the beloved children’s book written by Jeff Brown, the two-dimensional hero has a new life in “The Musical Adventure of Flat Stanley JR.”
Stanley Lambchop is your ordinary, everyday 10-year-old until the bulletin board on the wall above his bed comes loose and falls right on top of him. The next morning, Stanley wakes up flat. In a whirlwind musical travelogue, Stanley — the ultimate exchange student — scours the globe for a solution to his unusual problem. He’s stamped, posted, and canceled from Hollywood and France to Honolulu and beyond, all in an effort to
become a three-dimensional boy once more.
Stanley’s journey takes him all across the globe, to many interesting locales, filled with lots of colorful characters, which allowed SLT great casting opportunities.
The musical is directed by SLTA’s Artistic Director, Laura Beeman Nugent with music direction by Liesl Cruz. Georgette Berne serves as assistant director. The cast is led by Fox Petzold as Stanley, Kristoffer Berg as Arthur, Sydney R. as Mrs. Lambchop, Gil Pedrotty as Mr. Lambchop, and Annabeth Leal as Mrs. Cartero. The supporting cast includes Caroline Thornton, Gracie Wilkes, Elizabeth Grace Ivie, Arya Evans, Mary Rose Pedrotty, George Berne, and Maggie Wise.
Tickets can be purchases online at sltacademy.org and by calling or visiting SLT’s box office at 812 Margaret Place, Noon to 4 p.m. weekdays, (318) 424-4439.
