SAN ANGELO, TX — We have complied a list of the most-read crime stories of 2020. The stories feature both local and out of town incidents.

#1: The Hunt Continues for FBI’s Most Wanted Child Predator from West Texas

Since 2019, the FBI searched for 24-year-old Jose Navarette in West Texas. Navarette was charged with multiple counts of sex acts with children. At the time the FBI claimed the suspect relocated to Texas after fleeing California.

#2: WATCH: Brawl Breaks Out at Ross

After closing for a limited time during the lockdown, the reopening of Ross in McAllen drew hundreds of shoppers. Tensions grew as shoppes waited in line and a brawl broke out. Check out the video in the story.

#3: FBI Most Wanted Child Predator Finally Captured

Months after adding Jose Navarrette to the FBI’s Most Wanted Child Predators list, agents have confirmed he is in custody. Navarrette was located in Mexico and is facing extradition. He faces multiple charges of sexually assaulting children.

#4: WATCH: Massive Brawl Breaks Out at San Angelo Bar

2020 was the year of the brawl and in June the Parrots Head Tavern was the setting for a massive fight. That day the local bar offered Happy Hour all day long.  Check out the video in the story.

#5: Report: “Coronavirus” Poster Prank Led to Armed Confrontation in Dorm Room at Angelo State University

Two ASU students were involved in a fight after an international exchange student from South Korea found a number of posters that informed what the symptoms were for COVID-19 taped to his door. The student discovered his roommate was the one who put up the posters on his door. This led to a fight that led to the discovery of a 12-gauge shotgun, a KKK figure with a burning cross, and a Confederate flag. Check out all the crazy details in the link above.

#6: Rapper MO3 Shot in the Head and Left on Dallas Freeway

Dallas Rapper MO3 was killed in early November on a Dallas freeway. He was shot in the head while in his car. Checkout the the full story and video in the story.

#7: WATCH: Viral Video of Fight Inside the Sunset Mall

In November a fight at the food court at the San Angelo Sunset Mall went viral on social media. Check out the video!

As they were leading State Troopers on a high-speed chase three teenagers decided to go live on Facebook. Check out the video to see how the story ends.

#9: Former Police Chief Tim Vasquez Accused of Receiving Bribes Through His Band, Funky Munky

Last January former San Angelo Police Chief Tim Vasquez was indicted by a federal grand jury. The 49-year-old was charged with one count of receipt of a bribe by an agent of an organization receiving federal funds and three counts of honest services mail fraud.

#10: MPD Releases Body Cam Footage of Viral Arrest

After the arrest of Tye Anders sparked controversy in Midland, the Midland Police Department released the bodycam footage of the officers involved. The video chronicles the events that occurred after Anders failed to stop during a traffic stop.

#11: Police Find Body Hanging from Goalpost at Miller Stadium

A Mineral Wells police office made a startling discovery at Miller Stadium back in March. The officer found the body of a 22-year-old who had committed suicide at the stadium used by the Community Christian School and the Mineral Wells Youth Soccer Association.
