Free online reading help programs available to Saginaw County students

SAGINAW, MI – Free online tutoring is available to Saginaw County students through a program sponsored by the Saginaw Intermediate School District and United Way of Saginaw County.

The READ Association of Saginaw County is offering free one-on-one reading, writing or homework help with online mentors now that students are back in school.

To sign up for sessions beginning in February, sign up at the link here by Friday, Jan. 22. For more information, email the association at [email protected] or call (989) 755-8402

The READ Association is also starting the 12-week “Raising Readers Academy” program, which will help prekindergarten through 3rd grade students with reading as well as provide free books, incentives and meal cards. Weekly hour-long sessions begin at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 26 and 4 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 28. To sign up, click the link here.
